Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 can Rotel-I( I always run in blender so it is not so chunky )
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups ( 8 oz box) elbow macaroni
buttered bread crumbs
Directions:
Make buttered bread crumbs. Take a slice if bread and tear in small pieces, then drizzle 2 Tablespoons melted butter over them. set aside.
Cook elbow macaroni according to box directions and set aside.
Melt butter in sauce pan, then add flour to make a paste and then slowly add the milk always stirring. When your white sauce is getting thicker add shredded cheese and stir. When the cheese is melted into sauce add the Rotel and stir. Next add the macaroni and stir. Put the mixture in a casserole oven proof dish then top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
This blog is a blending of all of our family recipes onto one site. Please post comments and share any and all of your recipes (by emailing me, Pam.) The best way to navigate and find a recipe is to click on a label, which categorizes the recipes by people and type of dish. I am open to any feedback on how to improve this and make it the best it can be.
